Country Music As A Genre And The Best Country Songs

Country music as a musical genre is all the rage in the US particularly the Southern part. It's also popular in the Canadian Maritimes and there have emerged a bunch of songs overtime that may be considered the best country songs. The two best selling solo artists to be in the US were indeed country music vocalists. This was Elvis Presley and a current performer, Garth Brooks.



Country music experienced one of its best years in 2006. Country music is considered by many to be timeless. For this reason it is also thought to be hard to single out a list of best country songs of all times. However , the following ten songs have emerged in the field as the 10 best which will have any person singing along. The first two of these are:

Coal Miner's Daughter by Loretta Lynn - This song is autobiographical in outline. It prepared the ground for her career and the rise of a feature length film of her life story.

Islands in the Stream by Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers. Followers are made when they hear this song. It caught the soul and made a spirit of love in country music. The contrast in style between these two artists is highlighted in this song.



The following two songs did a lot to get to the hearts of plenty of people and tell their stories of love.

How Do You Like Me Now? By Toby Keith. It is felt the artist put his heart on his sleeve creating and singing this song. It serves to tell the stories of anyone who has loved and lost. The bounds are stretched as the final guy question is asked of the former lover.

All-American Girl by Carrie Underwood. This song made a reorganization in this class by showing that the guts of this music shows up in the mind and spirit of an All American Girl. This song serves to showcase modern country.



After these comes:

Because of You by Reba McEntire. Here again the artist revealed her heart on her sleeve making her soul appear alive. The most hardened of hearts shed a tear on hearing this song.

Don't Blink by Kenny Chesney. This was a triumph was a song devoted to love. This song removed the stigma that country music was all tractors and blue jeans.



The last 4 of these top 10 best in country music incorporates A Boy Named Sue by Johnny Cash; Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys by Waylon Jennings & Willie Nelson; Stand by Your Man by Tammy Wynette; and The Gambler by Kenny Rogers which emphasized key information to all card players. That advice is you have got to know when to hold and when to double.
