Reason Why You Must Buy An IPod

By Kenneth Rogers

The iPod has literally changed everything about how we listen to music. Thanks to Apple Inc.'s wonderful little tool, everything is more portable and more reliable than ever before.

In its rawest state, the iPod is a portable digital music player. But there is more to it. The product could also be used as a Personal Digital Assistant even with just a little memory. Then there's the game-playing components.

The iPod is only as good as its battery. It is good practice to use an Apple wall adapter paired with your dock sync cable. Usually this wall charger is an added accessory.

You want to have a good screen on your iPod as well. The capability to play video clips is no less amazing. And the power to access the Internet is also amazing.

And then there is the hard drive. This dictates how much music you can actually store on there. The iPod is about the size of a deck of cards, while the iPod mini is about half that size. In little over a decade they have progressed to the point where they are now capable of storing more than 100 hours worth of music, equivalent to 250 albums.

You'll probably want a pair of earphones as well. Headphones are available in many different styles. The smallest type are in ear, which are plugged into the ear.

A basic set of headphones shouldn't cost more than $20 or so. Digital models will encode the audio into data prior to transmission which makes these models the best choice in terms of sound quality and robustness against interference.

If you're they type of person you likes to take things apart, you can get a set of tools for dismantling your iPod. If the person who chooses to do a DIY repair is fortunate enough to have a few broken iPods laying around, he can experiment with those, and then try tackling his primary phone.
