Consider The Samsung UE55C9000

By William Jones

The Samsung UE55C9000 will be coming out very soon. These will have the ability to broadcast in three dimensions. Much like the big budget movies that are making so much money these days, these televisions hope to give that theater experience to folks at home.

The difference with these televisions is that the images on the screen are capable of popping out at the viewer. These might be the next big thing in television viewing. There is a chance, though, that they will not make it, as some new technologies, no matter how great they might seem at the beginning, there is no way to know if they will take off.

These will be LED televisions, making them very sharp. But at the same time, they will have a new way of showing up so that they are able to look better than they have before because they will have the extra dimension of coming out of the screen. Three dimensional viewing is great when you go to the movies, and with some big movies coming out that are in 3D, it is possible that they are going to really take the world by storm.

In the beginning the costs of these televisions will probably be pretty high. This is the way with all new technologies. There are a lot of reasons that it costs more in the beginning. Lack of competition, a higher price of the components that go into them, and the fact that the companies are trying to establish themselves, at the start, of being worth the extra money.

No one knows how big the market will be for 3D TV's. They are a new technology and each new technology can have a few glitches in the beginning that can make or break them. With the costs high, if they don't perform up to expectations then they may not be able to make many inroads in an already competitive television market.

Those that are old enough to remember the Beta versus VHS war that raged for the top spot on the home video market when it first came up. VHS ultimately won because they put together a better market themselves. The battle for the home video market boiled down to simple PR. They came out on top, even though some people believed that Beta had better picture quality as well as sound quality.

More recently, you might remember, that Blue-ray and HD DVD were fighting it out. Blue-ray seemed to have won the battle for selling their style of DVD's. Blue-ray ended up winning by getting into bed with a larger variety of different technologies. By getting the Blue-ray disks compatible with things that were already going to be purchased by consumers.

There is no way to know for sure if the Samsung UE55C9000 is going to be able to compete with other TV's when it comes out. Samsung has made many quality televisions in the past, but they may not be able to hold up a television like this in the current market without running into a multitude of problems.
