Al Pacino's Greatest Roles In Throughout His Career

By Ethan Murphy

Al Pacino is undisputedly one of the greatest actors alive. You can argue about it, but in the end his catalog of movies speaks for itself. While his movies in recent years may not be up to par with his earlier roles, Al Pacino has been making quality films and has starred in a number of classics.

This article will highlight some of my favorite Al Pacino roles of all time.

I will start out with the obvious, and that is of course The Godfather saga. Pacino plays the part of Michael Corleone to a tee, and continues to perfect the part throughout this epic trilogy.

One movie that certainly has to be on this list is Any Given Sunday. Who would have know that Al Pacino made such a great coach? His speech in this movie before the final game is one of the most inspiring sports speeches in cinematic history.

Another great film starring this incredibly talented actor is Heat. Also starring Robert De Niro, this film about bank robberies and bombs is directed by Michael Mann, and was the first movie in which these two legends are in the same scene together.

Al Pacino's most iconic role of all time very well might be Scarface. Now it is not my favorite movie of all time, but you have to give credit where credit is due. Pacino knocked it out of the park with his depiction of Tony Montana.

Finally, a movie that often goes over looked when talking about Al Pacino films is The Insider. I am not quite sure why, as this movie is as suspenseful as any. I believe it was nominated for best picture, and is a great Michael Mann/Pacino collaboration.

These are just some of the many films of Al Pacino that I felt the need to mention. There certainly are others, which may call for a folllowup article.
