Once it is installed on your computer, access the application (GargeBand) and click on the tab on the bottom right hand side (it looks like an eye). Clicking this allows you to choose 'Loop View"

Now you should get a scroll bar that lets you scroll through all of the loops available until you discover one that you want. (You can import your personal loops and add them to this listing)

Click on the loop and draw your pointer to the top right hand corner, you can expand the loop by dragging it.
