There is no doubt how one of the crucial members, if not the most important member, of any successful movie is the director. The director is the man or woman with a vision, the person with the master plan. These days, there are so many great directors that are worthy of praise.
This article will discuss some of the best directors that are currently putting out movies in Hollywood.
Martin Scorsese is simply put, one of the best. When all is said and done, he will go down as one of the greatest of all time. If you are not all too familiar with Scorsese's work, some of his better movies to see include Raging Bull, Gangs Of New York, Taxi Driver and Goodfellas.
Where do I even start with Christopher Nolan? It would seem that Christopher Nolan keeps coming out with movies that crack my top 20 favorites of all time. Between The Dark Knight, Memento, The Prestige and Inception, the man keeps blowing away my expectations.
Danny Boyle is another director that I absolutely love. Some of Boyle's best movies include, but are not limited to, Unleashed (aka "Danny The Dog") starring Jet Li, 28 Days Later, Trainspotting, and of course, Slumdog Millionaire. His new movie, 127 Hours, stars James Franco and looks awesome.
David Fincher is another director that I really enjoy. All his movies have his certified trademark. Some of my favorite David Fincher films include, but are not limited to, Se7en, Fight Club and Zodiac. I cannot wait for The Social Network, his next film.
One other director that has to be mentioned on any list of mine is Quentin Tarantino. Where do I even begin? Some of his best movies include Kill Bill: Vol 1, Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds, and Reservoir Dogs.
When it comes down to it, the above five directors are my favorites. Any movie any of these geniuses create I will line up at theaters to see.
