Get Immersed In The Activity With 3D HDTVs By Panasonic As Well As How 3D Works

By Lucas Peterson

High-definition televisions have become the absolute mainstream of our society and there are very few televisions that don't provide such abilities. It's almost impossible to buy a new TV incapable of high-definition, even though most of the programs and films we watch simply aren't in the resolutions required. Gaming is an exception, as it's been provided in high-definition resolutions for many years, way before the inception of high-definition television. With 3D televisions now becoming the new mainstream (though adoption is still pretty slow), it's time to take a look at the new line being provided and explore exactly how 3D works. Let's get immersed in the action with 3D HDTVs by Panasonic.

How 3D Works

Anaglyph was a very popular method for 3D images and it was very inexpensive to employ. It was done by gathering an image, then duplicating it twice. The first is unchanged. The second is offset horizontally and colored red while the third is offset horizontally and colored green or cyan, a chromatically opposite color. When viewed through the appropriate red and green or cyan glasses, the user's brain fuses the image together to create an image with depth.

Polarized 3D is the mainstream form of viewing in today's society. Two images are superimposed onto each other, but through different polarized filters. When viewed through polarized lens, each one at a different polarization, each eye will see a different image. It's similar to the anaglyph, but without the obvious color distortion due to receiving a lot of red and cyan or green.

Panasonic's Offered Products

Panasonic's Viera line offers some of the richest high-definition televisions, capable of providing the 3D experience at 1080p. Some of their products also provide the 3D Blu-Ray of Avatar to enjoy, allowing to watch the award-winning film as if you were in the cinema itself. Panasonic are one of the leading sellers of 3D televisions and are providing many different varieties of 3D HDTVs in order to allow all different individuals to experience it.
