Vintage Drive-In Movies Are Fantastic

By Aaron Robinson

Drive-in movies are great family entertainment. It isn't really available everywhere you go, however it is a big hit wherever you find one. In the summertime, there is nothing like it.

Drive-ins are less costly to attend than traditional movie theaters. One thing that I appreciate is the fact that they provide double features. Almost all drive-ins provide double features. It helps save money to the audience and also will give them a long evening out at the pictures. A double feature, in case you need to know, means that you can watch 2 movies at the show as opposed to one.

You can either watch the film from the ease and comfort of your vehicle, or bring your folding chairs or quilts and sit outside under the stars to enjoy the evening entertainment. If you are lucky enough to live close to an old-fashioned drive-in movie theater, then you're lucky because they are a dying breed.

Most drive-ins now use radio for the audio tracks, so try not to forget to bring your portable radio if you use lawn chairs. Don't be concerned however, you'll almost certainly be able to listen to your automobile's fm radio or a nearby listener will probably have it turned up loud enough to hear. There is lots more liberty to have discussion at the show without being monitored or just being shushed like at the indoor ones.

For many people, taking pleasure in a night at the outdoor movies takes them back to a far less complicated time. It is a worthwhile time for you to enjoy with your family members, date, or friends.

A whole lot of people bring their own snack food items, I know that I do. The concession is typically very high priced, but if you just don't wish to worry about bringing your own snacks, it is good for the drive-in's bottom line and it can also be a delectable treat. Snacking is fantastic, but it is best to get your treats just before the movie starts or in between double features because you don't want to miss anything at all.

The "good-old days" is what nearly all drive-in movie-goers want to enjoy. As a adolescent, it was certainly the place to go with a date. With today's high-tech multiplexes, it is unfortunate that the drive-in is going the way of the dinosaurs.

Overall, don't miss out on the drive-in experience. It is well worth the price of admission, whether it is family or a date. You'll be glad you did!
