Panasonic Lumix LX5 is a premium camera, high-end pocket-able, and also the highest cost camera ever made by Panasonic. After the long rumors about the coming of LX5, finally it is launched and appeared attractively with Leica lens named DC Vario Summicron with focal distance up to 24-90 mm and f/2.0-3.3 for diaphragm. Covered with metal, this camera packed lavishly. With the lens that is longer from the LX3 series, you can handle the focus as you wanted-near or far.

You can produce a great quality of noise in ISO 800, but you can bereave it in ISO 1600. However, doesn't matter how great the ability is, yet this is not a DSLR camera.

Panasonic LX5 lens is better carried out in a wide position, to expect 24 mm. For the telephoto lens position, this camera has only 99 mm length. Panasonic LX5 can be best carrying out within the lens aperture which will remain wide despite putting on telephoto lens, particularly f/3.3. Prefer a lens that also had the large aperture at the focus than your Lumix Leica lens may be the answer.

Note the camera on the three significant aspects in it; shutter, auto focus, and burst. In matters of the shutter, Lumix LX5 much more to display its class with the capability to shutter 60 seconds late and the fastest 1 / 4000 sec. In matters of burst-also known as consecutive photographing-LX 5 somehow better provided with a 2.5 frame per seconds.

In appearance, Panasonic LX5 look bigger and heavier, but it is a great ergonomic. It is comfortable in gripping. You will feel safer, even it is a little too great for the size of a pocket camera. Panasonic LX5 does not have a rotate-dial like another pocket camera has. It is also doing not have the joystick for the navigation button, like the previous LX3 has. The joystick appearance has been changed by a turn-and-push-jog dial that is placed on the hind.

Besides a photography ability that's made amazingly, Panasonic LX5 also provided having the ability to record movie-more specific: it may record Hd video, with resolution 1280720 pixels and checking progressive ability. Supplied with the CCD sensor, relax concerning the suffering of video result cause through the results of moving shutter. However, this CCD sensor is restricted in frame rate. The maximal frame minute rates are 30 fps.

The deficiency is LX5 does not have HDR mode. It seems a little strange because almost all pocket cameras already have it. It is also not supported yet by a formal underwater casing. LX5 lens not automatically opened and closed. You should do it manually like you do to SLR. LX5 is offered with price that is mentioned to be too expensive. However, as long as you adore the specifications. The price will feel worth it.
