Review of VUDU Movies

By Jason Green

VUDU's capability to stream movies over the net straight to a person's television (or via a gaming system or VUDU box, if ones TV is not an internet ready tv) will be the common movie viewer's new best friend in the world. Without having to hold out for movies to come through the mail or signing up to a monthly plan, VUDU's a-la-carte system of movies and tv series across the internet is going to definitely find a significant niche.

Rentals at two dollars for 2 nights means if you check out a movie one time per weekend for a whole month, you are paying the same price tag as the "other guys." A lot of individuals desire to stay in and check out a film a couple of times a month, but don't want to be trapped into a membership at $8 - $10 per month. Enter Vudu, at $2 per 2 nights! Not only do you not have to hold off for seven days for new releases to be accessible, you also get it instantaneously via your internet ready television or Xbox/Playstation.

And the picture quality is fantastic. VUDU's HDX yields the sharpest graphics out of any retailer that allows you to watch movies online.

Even though Vudu markets some cutting-edge TV releases, do not confound it for Hulu, who is king of the tv show streaming providers. However, with their having been obtained by big-box powerhouse Wal-Mart, VUDU is sure to narrow the gap in a hurry.

Even with the interim absence of television shows, this company is a nice change to the streaming movie scene. Some months you might discover yourself not watching anything. Other times, you might rent 3-4 programs. How about paying for what you are actually consuming, instead of being caught in a contract that you probably won't actually take advantage of. For the casual movie consumer with an internet ready television or an internet connected gaming console this is an excellent option for streaming movies on a rainy day or for date night.

On the down side, devoted movie-buffs and tv watchers might be disappointed in Vudu. The rentals will accumulate, and the television offerings are more limited than other services for now.
