Disney Corporation will bring the teen country music duo Jenny and Ashley to Sevierville next month to shoot the very first music video for their latest recording.
The video is going to be shot at Wilderness of the Smokies Resort.
Shooting is scheduled to get started in July.
"We're excited to have the girls in," said Rick Laney, of Ackermann PR. "They're kind of at the front of their career. You look at other Disney stars like Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers, they are very much following in their footsteps like those music groups."
Laney is in the role of a production consultant of the music video.
For a small donation, East Tennessee teens will have a chance to visit Wilderness of the Smokies for free and take part in the production of the music video.
"What we want folks to do is donate used shoes. There's a charity group the girls are involved with called 'Soles for Souls,'" said Laney. "If someone donates a pair of gently-used shoes, they'll receive a pass to be a part of the music video."
With the donation, participants also receive a bracelet for a return visit to the Wilderness of the Smokies.
A place for dropping off donations is going to be announced towards the end of this week.
Laney says with all the interest the Disney shoot will draw, it is a win/win for all businesses within the area.
"Anytime we put East Tennessee center stage, everyone who has a business here benefits from it," said Laney. "The way we look at it, anything that draws interest to this area or new business or new guests towards the area is ultimately good for everyone."
The television debut of Jenny and Ashley's video on the Disney Channel will probably happen in the fall.
Updates on the video production is going to be posted at ackermannwire.com.
