Breaking Dawn: Thoughts on the Trailer

By Owen Cox

The fourth and final installment of the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn, is said to debut on the silver screen sometime in 2011 in the United States. This highly anticipated movie will tie up all the loose ends for those who have followed Edward, Bella, Jacob and the rest of the packs and clans whose stories became tied together in previous films. Breaking Dawn will be directed by a newcomer to the saga. The previous directors have been David Slade, Chris Weitz and Catherine Hardwicke. The one at the top of the list for the fourth is Bill Condon, director of musical film Dreamgirls in 2006.

With such a popular movie, it's no wonder that Twilight fans would jump at a chance to be part of a movie. Extras for the first two movies comprised of a few lucky locals from where shooting was taking place as well as aspiring actors with resumes to push. The next reported installment in the popular Twilight Saga series will be "Breaking Dawn" and many fans are dreaming of a chance to be an extra on the next movie.

Some fans believe they've found their chance when they get email messages or see ads on Twilight fan sites. Here's an example of a call for extras for the next Twilight movie but before you read it, beware that it is a scam.

Split into three sections, one of which is narrated by werewolf Jacob Black, the story opens with Bella thinking about her impending wedding to Edward. She seems to be on the verge of getting exactly what she wants, but Bella has no idea what dangers loom in her future. A near-death experience, a terrifying vampire war and divided loyalties among those she loves.

Veenker says that she gets thousands of emails and letters from fans interested in being part of the movies. "It scares me to think of what the low-lives out there could do to hurt such easy targets," she adds. According to MSNBC.com Veenkner did what many want to be Twilight movie fans should do if they see an ad for an extras call. She researched the responsible party and learned that they have an "F" rating with the Better Business Bureau.

I am not going to reveal much about the Breaking Dawn trailer, but just a quick look that it is separated into three parts; the primary part is Bella's relating of her marriage ceremony and nuptial. The 2nd part is from Jacob's point of view about Bella's pregnancy and the coming apart of his pack. The 3rd part is from Bella's perception about her brand new vampire existence, her maternity, and their battle against the Volturi when they come to destroy them.
