Understanding How The Easter Play Scripts Help Improve Our Spiritual Lives

By Dianne Crane

Easter is a very popular festival with Christians all around the world. It is celebrated to remind us of how Jesus rose again after Crucifixion. Easter play scripts reminds us that man is mortal and is subject to the will of other people. This helps us to understand that we are indebted to the people all around us. It brings forward the message that God can achieve anything whereas man cannot.

This festival mainly depicts the portion of the life of our Savior Jesus, when He is nearing the end of life on Earth. It deals with the aspect of social life where interdependence and continuance of life is subjected to various things and have differing values for different people. Putting up a drama which tells us the entire story can be daunting. However, it is also thrilling.

At the Last Supper, Jesus speaks about the betrayal and of His transformation as He rises from the dead. He metaphorically denotes the bread and wine to be His body and blood. The sacrament thus becomes the gateway for Christians to the eternal life as promised by our Savior. One is granted absolution from sin and from commitments that are not fruitful.

Celebrations typically include family get together and meals, services in the Church hunting for the Easter egg and gift giving. Families get together to mark their continuance to the spirit of Christianity and of oneness with the family members. By setting aside the day for the members of the family one makes the commitment to strengthen the bonds that tie them together.

Crucifixion and death of Jesus the Lord on a Cross is followed by His resurrection. This happens on the third day and is the one after the Sabbath. It gives us the promise of eternal life if one is willing to follow the Savior. Happiness comes when one realizes that he or she is granted absolution and eternal life if one will follow Jesus Christ. To renew the faith and keep ourselves on course with the promised life, we celebrate this holy day.

The day of Easter is marked as the Sunday that follows the day of the full-moon after vernal-equinox happens in the northern hemisphere; most of all the years the equinox is found to occur either on March 20 or 21. So the festival is celebrated in any days that follow. It is also linked to the Passover festival which marks the exodus in the Old Testament by the Egyptians.

There are some scripts that portray the actual crucifixion and the way Jesus died. Some of the stories deal with the events and characters who were involved. Thus Jesus entry into Jerusalem, the last supper that He had with the disciples and the resurrection form the main themes for most plays.

Children will have a lot of fun choosing the Easter play scripts that they want to stage. The significance of this victory that the Lord had over the grave is enacted here. The script must be one that is simple to follow and easy to enact. The school event will certainly be a success if you make the correct choice.
