Best Ways To Use DJ System

By Landon Porter

The term DJ system is used interchangeably with DJ equipment and learning how to work with it is not a difficult proposition. It is important for anyone who learns how to use it not to start being considered an expert since the two are quite different. There is a lot more that is required and has to be fulfilled before one can be called an expert.

There are not very many equipments used as part of this system and mostly include mixer, some two turntables and a laptop. It does not matter how basic the the equipment is set up, one needs to learn how to work with it and becoming skilled. By learning these skills well, you would be on your way towards becoming such an expert within no time at all.

You, first of all, have to learn the Disk Jockey equipment. Some of the basic skills which one needs to learn include playing a track on one deck while mixing it on the second one. The mixer is one tool which you need to be skilled in using. It remains one of the crucial tools since it helps with controlling aspects such as volume, filters, tempo, crossfader and pitch.

The crossfader is as equally important as the mixer and should be given similar attention if you desire to become a leading Disk Jockey. If you were to ask many DJs, they will tell you the crossfader is what the use the most to come up with awesome music. It is the tool they use to learn about BMP of any track they wish to work with.

Filters are extremely helpful in the sense that the DJ can cut some of the low signals, as well as high and mid ones too. After doing this, it becomes possible to play harmonies or vocals from one track and bass from another track with ease. This makes it promising for the Jockey to play around with the track until he or she can match its BMP.

After learning how to use this equipment, the next step is to try to mix a music track. While this is going on, the crossfader should be kept strictly at 100% on the first deck. As this is happening, play the deck two and listen to the track using a piece of headphones rather than on the main speakers.

All the details which pertain to learning the way one can use the DJ system have to be learnt. To produce basic mix track, all that is required for most beginners, is to slide the crossfader. Seamless mix and production of different tracks will come with more experience and practice. Transitions have to be timed well in addition to learning how to plan the mix from the earliest stage.
