By Kora Berger

A High Definition television has already become the predominant choice in the US, with about sixty percent of families owning one. And another 12 percent intend to obtain one soon. Around the world households are increasingly opting HDTV. In order to take complete advantage of an HDTV, a Blu-ray player is a necessity. Online streaming is one of the hottest internet activities, letting you watch video from anywhere in the world, television programs and movies. It's already a widely held notion that Blu-ray is out-of-date. However, a Blu-ray disc provides an experience that is better than web streaming in its standard format. Obviously bluray is exceptional but for when you happen to be traveling almost nothing can beat the capability to download ipad movies

The newest generation of Blu-ray players likewise gives you the chance to enjoy streaming, and so with superior quality. The current Vizio VBR200W is among these modern players. It's not radically different from the company's older Blu-ray players, except for severala few new functionalities. The latest players come with Wi-Fi capabilities and Vizio's Internet Apps, including the ability to use a wireless connection to stream films from the Web from VUDU or Netflix. The Vizio VBR200W is just 2.4 inches high and the touch sensitive controls are found on the front front of the player. The middle front is the location for the disc tray, and the machine has a sophisticated look with its glossy black finish.

The input and output connections are hidden on the back end of the player. The video quality of the VBR200W Blu-ray player by Vizio is Full HD 1080p while playing a Blu-ray disc and it plays normal DVDs at levels virtually as good as High Definition. Component, HDMI, and ComPosite outputs are three ways to link the video. You obtain the optimum video result for Blu-ray discs and DVD discs when you use the HDMI connection.

HTMI allows you to enjoy 7.1 multi-channel surround-sound audio, while analog and Digital Optical/Coaxial outputs are also available connections. While you do have internal decoding for DTS-Master Audio and Dolby TrueHD, 7.1 analog outputs are not provided. Internet Apps for the Vizio VBR200W Blu-ray player allows for web streaming access to films, music, news and other things. Twitter, Facebook, Netfix, Pandora Internet Radio, The New York Times, Associated Press, and a lot more online services can be accessed. Apparently, online streaming calls for an internet connection, which can be made by way of the ethernet port or a wireless connection.

Along with an owner's manual, you receive a quick-start guide to help connect the player easily. It's unfortunate that you can't stream music or video files straight from your computer to the VBR200W. The excellent video and audio put out by the VIZIO VBR200W Blu-ray Player are but two of the reasons for getting one. The video playback quality is Full HD 1080p with a Blu-ray disc, through HDMI. There is internal audio decoding for Dolby Digital TrueHD in addition to DTS-HD. Many streaming services are available, like Netflix and VUDU for HD movies, and news, music and other online content - and you can connect through Wi-Fi. Two inadequacies of the VBR200W player are that it does not have DLNA capability and it doesn't have a Quick Start Mode.

For someone looking for an affordable Blu-ray player, the Vizio VBR200W offers a good combo of features and price. The video and audio playback is outstanding, you get streaming functionality, Wi-Fi integrated to the system, and the VBR200W features a menu that is easy to navigate. You can get The Vizio VBR200W for just under $200.00.
