The Modern Innovations In DJ Equipment

By Eldridge Neigh

The days when the mainstays of the DJ equipment were just nothing more than a mixer and something that will mix, have already passed. These days, to have a set of DJ equipment with all the latest trend sin technology is considered as one of the most important aspect of becoming a very successful DJ, and if you will not be able to keep up with this fast pace, you will very likely just end up as obsolete as an eight - track player.

As it turns out, one of the most important advancements in DJ equipment in recent memory may be an item that was only just recognized for its use as DJ equipment at all: the Apple iPad. Using an extension of the interface Apple created with the iTouch and iPhone, the iPad is just what its name suggests: a tablet-shaped screen with dimensions slightly smaller than a piece of paper which that the user interacts with via a touch screen.

As a piece of DJ equipment, the iPad has the functions of several items that DJs already use. Naturally, it would contain mp3 functions that have been replaced with CDs and DVDs long ago, and it serves a the primary sources of music. There are also some applications for the iPad that will act as a mixer, allowing the DJs to produce the newest beats with only a single touch of the finger.

Perhaps, most excitingly, the iPad has this certain application that will replace one of the most antique but important pieces of DJ equipment - the turntable. Thus, armed with an iPad, a DJ can scratch out a funky sound on a device that has a feel similar to a real set of turntables without the trouble of having to lug them around.

And not to mention the amount of money that you are able to save by not having to destroy in the music that is being played through scratching it.

Another piece of DJ equipment that has made recent advances is headphones. For example, the HDJ-2000, which has been produced by Pioneer, will be able to offer extremely high - quality and high - fidelity sound, while being comfortable enough and not making DJs get distracted by itching ears in the middle of the set.

Even though headphones will not seem like a special piece of the Dj equipment, their capability of of allowing DJs to sample different tracks as clearly as possible in some very noisy environment can be considered as a kay consideration for anyone that is triving to become a top -tier DJ.
