The singer and main musician is Winston Rodney who is of Jamaican descent. As a musician, he considered Bob Marley one of his influences. He also looked up to Marcus Garvey, a political activist. He used Rastafari movement messages in making his music.

In 1969, he started to make music as Marley and some of his friends helped him out in the industry. He continued making music until 2010 and in those years, a following started to grow. His music is known in many places which even includes the United Kingdom.

In those years of being in the world of music, he has come up with about thirty studio albums which include Marcus Garvey, Rocking Time, Rasta Business, Dry and Heavy, People of the World, Jah Kingdom and many others. A lot of fans truly enjoyed his music and message.

Aside from studio recordings, he has also come up with compilations of his songs. To name a few, there is Reggae Greats, Best of the Fittest and Jah No Dead. These are collections of his greatest hits. Some are also composed of rare and unreleased tracks.

Moreover, he also came up with live recordings featuring his concerts and live performances in the USA, South Africa and London. These include Live in Paris Zenith, Live In South Africa and A live in Concert. These would surely make a great addition to a fan's collection.

Nowadays, reggae music fans can get their copy of Burning Spear albums in several places. One can try looking in local music stores. If those are not available there, fans can always look up online and buy the records there. Buying music online has become a trend in the past years.
