Piano Playing For Beginners

By Jared Wilkilsonn

There are various ways of becoming a piano player. Your training will depend on what kind of pianist you want to become. You can be a pianist for your religious congregation, a jazz pianist, a pianist of classical music, or a concert pianist touring the world. But, before you can achieve all of these, you first have to get yourself a good piano teacher.

A piano teacher will teach you the fundamentals of piano playing. Focus your attention on drill techniques and note reading. Do not be bored if your piano teacher will persistently train you on fingerings and drilling exercises. These will develop your fingers to play faster and smoother.

It is crucial that you train very hard. Any musician will tell you that it is practice that will make you become a successful pianist. Practice long and hard and in time you will reap the benefits of your efforts. Take interest in classical pieces, like the works of Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin.

These are excellent musical pieces to practice on. Also, teaching other kids who also want to become a pianist will also help you learn more and practice more so you will have something valuable to impart to your students. But let us not forget that getting a good quality piano is as important as practicing how to play the piano. Having a good piano to practice is one of the keys to success.

Select atrusted brand when you buy a piano. The piano is probably the most durable musical instrument that exists. Some pianos last as long as 50 years if taken good care of. A Yamaha piano is a high quality piano. Yamaha has been in the business of building pianos for many decades.

The brand is trusted my many international musicians, thus, you can be sure that you will not go wrong if you choose this brand. If you are invited to play at different places abroad, it is also essential that you own a portable keyboard. Try using the Yamaha YPT220. It is portable and sounds like a grand piano. You will not be able to distinguish the sound of a grand piano from a YPT220.
