Movies also can alter our bodies and the brain in different ways as a film transmits its symbolism by using emotion. In turn, this causes a psychological release, which is not generally a bad thing. Case in point, a comedy film may well distance an individual from their own problems, thereby decreasing emotional stress, and bringing down hypertension. An intensive scary film may, however, rise heart rate and hypertension, and may even bring on disturbing memories or events from the past.

It will always be advisable to be aware of your own health problems as well as dangers included with seeing a particular film at the movie theaters. Where a film may put you at risk, just steer clear of it for something a bit more subtle or you could end up sick.
